ART & Galleries
Home Services

"Many of our clients are first-time art buyers," says gallery owner Julie Baker, "so we try to make it as easy and as enjoyable as possible to buy fine art.

One of the many services we provide is on site or at home consultation. Clients come to the gallery or visit our website to choose works they respond to or feel will compliment a room in their house or office. We then arrange to bring the work to them to see it in their space. We invite the clients to keep the works there for a day or two before making a decision, in order to see the work in daylight and evening hours. once we are in the home we recommend where and how to hang the artwork."

Gallery director and interior designer, Susan Mann, adds her knowledge of design, color and layout to Baker's art background in assisting clients with their decisions. Mann says,"Julie selects the work we show in the gallery and I show the client how to place it to make a statement in their home. We must be honest in our opinions. If the artwork is not right for the home, we will be the first to say so. there is nothing more gratifying to us than when a work of art finds its home. As a gallery we feel strongly that if you are going to make an investment in your home, whether it be a remodel, redecorate or build anew, you should think seriously about art and how it fits into your plane. one work of art that you love - a painting, sculpture, drawing or print - can make a room. it can bring all other elements into focus and provide an emotional satisfaction as well.

The artwork you choose to live with may be a conversation piece or a piece that provides solace during a busy day, either way, it should speak to you. you should first love the artwork and next, have a place to enjoy it.

Buying art should be a adventure. Galleries need to be approachable. many fine art galleries are intimidationg. julie Baker finds it works best to educate visitors about the artwork and artists on display, and then to assist them in identifying what it is they like. From there it's a matter of helping them find it. If we don't have it, we try to help them locate it through our contact with other resources around the world."
