Gallery Receives Award from KVIE August 29, 2003 For immediate release August 2, 2003 Contact: Julie Baker, 530-273-0910 julie@juliebakerfineart.com Press release For immediate release August 29, 2003 Gallery Receives Award from KVIE Julie Baker Fine Art is pleased to announce that they were awarded Best Gallery by jurors Linda Jolley of Jay Jay Gallery and Alan Osborne of The Art Foundry for the KVIE 2003 Art Auction. KVIE is the pbs affiliate and public television station for the Central Valley. Julie Baker Fine Art was invited to participate in this year's auction and to submit five works by five gallery artists. The gallery submitted works by Jack Alvarez, Don Fritz, Erin Noel, Kazaan Viveiros and Melissa Wood. Alvarez of Sacramento won the award for best of show, Viveiros of Virginia won for best painting and Erin Noel won honorable mention in the watercolor category. As part of the award for best gallery, a 2 minute segment about the gallery will be presented during the auction. Julie Baker will also present the works live during the auction. The live on air auction is from Friday, September 19 - Sunday, September 21, 8pm to midnight. Julie Baker Fine Art's selections will be auctioned on Sunday, September 21 from 8:30pm to 9:00pm.
